Shed No Tears Until Seeing the Coffin

She wrote about paying attention to and acknowledging all the things you do accomplish and not emotionally punish yourself for the things you don’t.
This was a really good message for me today as I have had a health set back. I had two full weeks without any LS symptoms and then just two days ago it fell apart again.
Not as bad as it has been before, but bad enough to interrupt my day to day life.
Getting a taste of feeling healthy, even if it was temporary, was unbelievably sweet.
I wanted to share this video on Diane’s post. After watching it, I felt inspired enough to rethink this set back. I decided that I’m going to take my two week reprieve as a sign that someday I will go into remission.
Enjoy this amazing story.
Water Which is Too Pure Has No Fish
Posted: May 6, 2012 Filed under: Happiness, Life, Spirituality | Tags: Beliefs, Christ, Christianity, Devil, God, Golden Rule, Good News, Happiness, Life, Ministry of Jesus, Satan, Sin, Supernatural, Universalism 3 Comments »People used to jokingly say “The Devil made me do it!”. Though the saying has lost it’s popularity the concept behind it lives on in most of American culture.
In almost every church on every Sunday you hear someone preach about how weak humans are tempted by Satan and how they can avoid the consequences of going to Hell by giving their “sins” to Jesus. I suspect, the Sin and Repentance cycle is the main reason churches are still financially profitable.
Sin is unavoidable. The main message of religion seems to be to avoid all experience. This is impossible, unless one is willing to sit all alone in a cave.
Blaming someone else, especially some unseen supernatural being for your mess and then expecting another supernatural being to get you out of the consequences is foolish and spiritually dangerous. The cycle of making mistakes and then correcting or living with them is how people grow spiritually.
Spiritually passing the buck is not based in reality. Even if you manage to convince yourself you are “saved”, the consequences of your behaviors will catch up to you. Reality is that you will pay for your own “sins”. You will reap what you have sown. Your mind will not find peace until you accept this.
A mature soul takes responsibility for what they have done. They see their moments of weakness as opportunities to grow. They train themselves to not repeat their mistakes. They learn to think about the consequences before they act. They become the master of and not a slave to earthly desires.
As individuals they learn to forgive themselves and others for their weaknesses. They learn to act out of love and to not react out of fear.
Reacting out of fear is bondage. Being afraid is Hell.
Acting out of love is Jesus’ message of hope for us.
This is the Good News.

Why is diabetes so prevalent?
This doctor from Sweden presents a good argument for only eating real foods.
I’ve been following his diet advice for the last two months and lost 17 lbs! I don’t feel deprived or hungry. My over all health and energy are improving.
Everyone should see it…
Remember, sharing is caring.
“The epidemics of obesity and diabetes are continuing to spread across the western world. Now we know why. Modern science has revealed our mistake. The unnecessary fear of natural food has inadvertently caused us to eat more of the new food that can make us hungrier, make us eat more, make us fat. Ever more people are realizing the mistake and seeing the solution.” (from YouTube page)

Michigan’s "Personhood" Legislation Puts Women at Risk of Murder Investigations for Miscarriage
Posted: April 30, 2012 Filed under: Life, Michigan Politics, Spirituality, Weird Stuff, Women's Issues | Tags: Abortion Rights, Anti-Choice Leave a comment »Women in Michigan are now faced with the possibility that their lawmakers will pass a “personhood” law. Michigan’s (SB 13, HJR HH) defines a 10 week old fetus as an individual, which grants it all the rights of life. This essentially outlaws abortion outright, overturning Roe v. Wade. It also opens up all miscarriages to criminal investigation.
Michigan’s Fetal Personhood Bill is just one of many examples of new Anti-Choice legislation being used to make abortion harder if not impossible in Michigan. (Planned Parenthood on Reproductive Legislation in Michigan)
In their quest, these lawmakers will be arming police officers and others without medical training to act out on their own personal biases. This law will create an atmosphere of fear for every pregnant woman and will put many innocent women and unborn infants under unnecessary stress.
When creating laws we as a society need to consider all the possibilities of how it could be abused, no matter how remote that may seem.
Lauren Shores suffered a miscarriage last August. She came to Michigan’s capital from Central Michigan University to talk about how under a proposed Michigan GOP “personhood” bill she could have been the target of a murder investigation.
Miscarriages are not crimes; they are an act of nature and investigating miscarriages would be a huge and unethical waste of taxpayer dollars. The police and justice system already have too many real crimes they do not have the resources to deal with.
Even for those who are against abortion, Michigan’s “personhood” Legislation should go too far!
Tattoos = Satan?
Posted: April 29, 2012 Filed under: Tattoo Information, Weird Stuff | Tags: Religious Prejudice, Tattoo & Piercing 2 Comments »First of all I’m not suggesting that the following individual (in the photo) is an example of the healthy use of body adornment of any sort. However, I am sure this individual feels they have a very good reason for presenting themselves the way they have chosen. It is not my place to judge anyone.
I just can’t wrap my mind around the so called “Christian” claim that her tattoos and piercings represent the evil or satanic values. I feel that the symbols presented are those of a culture the article author just didn’t understand.
My comments are in italics.

BODY MUTILATIONS — INSERTS, PIERCINGS
http://www.cuttingedge.org/news/n1814.cfm
Let us examine this picture of this poor girl in some depth, for this tattooing and body piercing screams the Satanic values behind this picture. A former Satanist told me that this face is a “Road Map” and is carefully, intricately created.
Notice the following elements:
* All-Seeing Eye in middle of the forehead resting within a reptilian type body. Each of the colors utilized on this All-Seeing Eye and on the rest of her face has specific meaning within the practice of ritual occultism, each with its own type of power.
(“All Seeing Eye” is a common spiritual symbol and has even been used to represent the Christan Trinity, not occult at all. )
* Eyes — to make the eyes appear “dead” she has painted black completely around each eye; black is the color of death, the Abyss, the damnable. (A little make-up is good – Lots of make-up is satanic?)
* Bondage Loops (WHERE? Bondage to ignorance is worse than… jewelry!)
* Chain woven alongside her right cheek. This chain appears to have 13 links. The chain is a “bondage” symbol, and each link forms a “bondage loop”. This is a chain of spiritual slavery. Every time you see a chain — either a physical chain or a tattoo of a chain — you know the “bondage into spiritual slavery” is depicted. (It just might be nothing more than aesthetically pleasing?)
* Collar around her neck is also a “bondage loop”. (It is actually a dog collar which has a whole different social statement.)
* Notice the circular piercings above her eyes with the ball in the middle and along the bottom curvature of her chin; these are also “bondage loops” and are tied to specific demons, to whom she must be loyal. (According to?)
* Braids — When you take a braid and loop it, every time you lock a braid into place, a demon is set in place. This type of braiding is consistently done to keep demonic power in place. The African culture makes much use of this braiding for this very purpose. (Much to do… about nothing. We aren’t going to suppose the color of here hair bonds her to… Santa Claus?)
* Cursing pins are set on each side of the nose bridge. Notice how they stick out at angles like you would see in a voodoo doll. These are definitely “cursing pins”, delivering this poor girl into spiritual slavery to the demonic host. (These are not pins. As unattractive as this is to most people, it is just another piercing.)
* Poppies set into her braids are representative of the drugs needed to fully open one’s consciousness so a person can open her spiritual “Third Eye”, represented by the All-Seeing Eye in the middle of her forehead. (I bought similar “Poppies” at target for my grand daughters hair! Who hasn’t worn barrettes? Beads?…)
If this girl were to become disenchanted with Satanism, the demons whom she has given “permission” by her piercings and tattoos to enter her, would immediately attack her to make her so miserable because of the demonic attack that she would return to her spiritual slavery; if she resolutely refused to return, the demons would physically kill her. Police detectives know of this type of murder so well they have assigned a name for it: “Psychic Murder”…
The article goes on to give great details of other fantastic superstitious bullshit they claim is Satanist’s practices concerning body modification. All in the name of promoting their flavor of xenophobia and to sell more of their books.

I received an email the other day asking why I don’t consider myself Christian. Here is my reply.
I believe in God, but I don’t believe in Jesus as my savior.
I believe in the teachings of Jesus as taught in the bible, as long as they don’t conflict with the golden rule.
I believe that the only way to worship God is to treat ALL of the creation with respect and love.
(I believe in equal marriage rights for gays and that they aren’t evil, just people who for some reason are attracted to their own sex. I believe they are a normal part of humanity.)
I don’t believe in sins in the traditional sense.
I believe that sinning is putting something between you and your spiritual growth.
Therefore, for each person sin is different.
For example, some people can look at porn and be healthy about it and some sin. Some people eat healthy and some sin…
In my opinion the worst sin is carrying hate and fear in your heart.
I believe that we pay for our sins here on earth ourselves. You reap what you sow.
We live many lives to develop ourselves until we are ready to become a part of whatever “God” is.
All religions and lifestyles lead to God. All paths are as individual as we are.
I don’t believe God is listening to our prayers. I believe we are created to be able to attract the things we need on our own.
I believe death is not real. No heaven, no hell. It is just another reality.
Life is just what we make of it.
If you cannot be happy here on earth you won’t be happy in the next world.
PETA sexually exploits young women to sell the vegan diet!

WOW! WOW! WOW!
When is such a blatant exploitation acceptable? Certainly not in the PETA cause?
So does this tell us that in the PETA organization women are less valuable than animals?
Please, after you watch it, tell me what you think.
“BWVAKTBOOM is a phenomenon that is sweeping the nation and affecting countless individuals whose partners have gone vegan.”
